Job Title:

Visitor Services Assistant (Railway Days & Craigellachie)
 
Revelstoke Railway Museum
 
Wage: $12.00 per hour

Job Description: Under the direction of the Executive Director and the Visitors Services Manager, you will provide friendly and responsive visitors services in the gift shop and on site at Craigellachie, and support all activities and events organized by the museum that affect operations at the site, i.e. Railway Days festival in mid-August.  You will be expected to work independently as well as with other staff members and volunteers.  You will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of visitors services as required, including gift shop sales, and site orientation and interpretation. 

Education: Minimum of Grade 11 education required. Must be a student returning to full-time studies in the Fall.

Skills/Abilities: Self-motivated, organized and flexible with an outgoing personality who enjoys dealing with public and as part of a team. Must be available to work some evenings, weekends and stat holidays.
