Railway Days 2008
Friday August 15 to Sunday August 24, 2008

A major, ten day, festival taking place throughout the whole City of Revelstoke that celebrates our rich railway history and heritage. From special exhibitions at all of community's museums, to art shows and theatrical performances, to a model railroad show, to 'speeder' and rolling stock demonstrations along with lots of activities for the kids; Railway Days 2008 is Revelstoke's must see, must do, event.

Visit the Railway Days 2008 website for more information.

The Museum houses the beautifully restored CPR locomotive #5468. Built in 1948 for the Revelstoke Division, the Mikado P-2k 2-8-2 is an awesome representation of the Big Steam Era. This is one of the larger steam engines ever used on CPR lines.

More information on this exhibition is available on our events page.

Tour CPR Business Car #4 and out in the "Yard", find more original rolling stock - caboose, snow plow, flange car and maintenance equipment. Take time to enjoy lunch in the park by the yard and watch the main line unit trains roll by.
